The Chilton Scarecrows team is a small group of local mums who organise yearly events within the village to support the local community.

Trails have taken place in the village previously, but the Chilton Bug Hunt was the first event organised by the Chilton Scarecrows Team. We had so much fun that we haven’t stopped since! we have now organised yearly scarecrow trails over the autumn half term holidays for everyone to come and enjoy. 

Over lockdown we also organised additional events for Easter where the Easter Bunny came to visit homes and we arranged a visit from Father Christmas over the festive period along with a Giant Bauble Hunt. This was when we held our first Christmas Light Switch on where all the decorated homes in the village switch on their lights at the same time and a wonderful festive atmosphere is created as neighbours mix on the illuminated streets.
